Hey @Lana !! Happy crafting back at ya! :)

I have the wedding throw going, a donation pet mat, and a ratty coaster all on the crochet hooks ... picking up one or another here and there.

We're headed to the lake tomorrow. I'll be taking my knit afghan to work on as well as a CCS motif for an October BD card. I haven't decided if I have any sewing I could/should take along. It might involve too much home prep to worry about trying to take.

Had planned to head to the sewing room today. Still haven’t got there. I did order my photos for the Easter cards etc so that’s done. Maybe later today…

I was determined to finish the 2 Jesse Trees today. I did. To explain a bit. Each “gift” 1-24 has a round “ornament” inside. One side has a Scripture verse and the other a symbol of what the verse represents. Beginning with #1. Once Scripture is read the ornament is added to the tree. An advent calendar if you will. See photo attached.

My grandparents made a tree on a broad once and it was lined with green felt and the tree shape was black velvet and then costume jewelry was put on it. The tree shape was outlined with a necklace of pearls. Several years later they put lights thru the broad in places. It was maybe 24' tall. Looked like a picture frame.

Not really. The silk screens, etc. come from a company called Chalk Couture. Take a look if you are interested.
