His birthday isn't until June, but he'll be the big FIVE-OH this year.
He's not one for big birthday celebrations, but I do have to do something.
Any ideas?
When a coworker turned 50 a couple years ago his wife had a surprise party at the VFW for him with a DJ and they had tonka truck type equipment on the tables (they work for an excavating company) and a picture board up and things like that.
I like that idea.
Dh drives the bulldozers, loaders, excavaters, etc.
One year when his dd had mentioned she'd like to get into cake decorating I asked if she'd like to make his birthday cake and told her to put some matchbox sized equipment on the cake with crushed cookies for the dirt...etc.
She did a real good job.

Id like to also know what I can do for my DH who will be turning 50 Aug 2008.
I just turned 50 this past Nov. Celebrated it w/a 2wk vacation to WDW. Went solo so DH & DS15 didnt need to do anything special.
Id like to do something even if its something small, at home, w/some of DHs friends

Wow My mom turns 50 in October also!!!!

My sister will be making the plans since they are all in NY. But I will want to be a part of it and make the party favors if possible. Thanks for the reminder!!!
