I need to make mom a list of what I want for Christmas... thought if I heard what each of you wants it'd give me ideas.

- A book (which one?)
- A dvd (?)
- Drawing kit
- Pedicure
- Ice skates
- Drawing pencils & pad

....

I'll start this and then add as I think of things or see things. I, too, have a hard time thinking of things I want, but this year I have tried to be more mindful of it.

1. Cricut
2. Watch
3. Food sealer
4. Book on how to do calligraphy
5. Book on how to knit
6. 3 new stools for the snack bar

I can never give DH my fill list because he always want to get it all which is way more than we can spend at Christmas, so I have to be really sure what I tell him is what I want most.

My family says it is hard to buy me gifts. I usually don't say what I want out loud because I know that they can't afford it. Also, my birthday is 12/27 my list:

Better Homes and Garden Magazine
Warm bathrobe
Earrings
Someone to go antiquing with me.
Most of all I would love a Hoosier or other freestanding cabinet so I can do this

A silpat is a silicone sheet that goes on your cookie sheet to ensure a nonstick surface.

I found two of the silicone baking mats by Food Network at Kohl's Saturday on a 75-85% off rack, but thye weren't in their system. They told me they could let me have them at 60% off...I didn't get them. Probably should have, but it ticked me off that they wouldn't give me the full markdown. They said they would have to throw them out because they weren't in the system. I bet they went home with somebody that night....

In front of my computer
I started a few years ago with making a list of items I wanted. This year DH has picked up a lot of things I've mentioned I've wanted so my list is rather short.

A wooden carving from Jimmy the Wood Carver (this is the young guy-16 --that I have a few carving from already. He's going to do something using photo of my dad. He's never tried to carve a likeness but he said he'd be glad to try). If Jimmy is willing I thought I'd like him to do 7 more of my dad that I would use as Christmas gifts to family next year.

GC from Caribou (this is my most asked for gift. I do not get coffee from there unless it's with a GC and I love their coffee)

GC from Amazon (since DS gave me a Kindle for my birthday)

Oh, let me add the silpat too. I have two and could use one more. Love them.
And Sees chocolates.

JAne-sorry about that. We do have items that fall off clearance onto what is called "MOS" or marked out of stock. It is no longer in the system and can't be run up usually. Its up to each store as to how much they can discount it, if they do at all. In these cases we usually can't buy them either. :( Sorry it was a bad experience

Let's see...
Silpats -- Those have been on my list for years and I never get them! :)
A Kindle gift card for e-books.
A hair buff for when I go camping -- (like the headbands they wear on Survivor)
A Life is Good baseball hat
An e-magazine subscription from Zinio - wish they had Real Simple.
A computer geek -- for maybe 3 hours. (Unlikely.)
An interior decorator to help me troubleshoot some spots in my house -- for maybe 3 hours. (not sure they do short visits like that. They probably want bigger jobs.) (Also Unlikely.)
A cord organizing box.
A steam kettle for the top of my woodstove.
Ipad -- But too expensive. Rats!

The big stuff is all very unlikely but I think I have a good shot at the baseball hat! ;-)

@miss jane: nice to read that you would like to have a Cricut :)

on my list is a "Silhouette Cameo" - very similar to Cricut, but without Cartridges... unfortunately it is not easy to get it here...

so here is my list

- Silhouette Cameo
- newest book by Ken Follet
- newest book by John Irving
- craft supplies (or coupons to by craft supplies)
- crafting books

I always make sure to treat myself for Christmas (and my birthday). This year I'm spending a little more on myself than usual.

*portable Hd television
*i-pod touch
*new cell phone
*pair of Ravens' (football) snow boots

In the past I bought kitchen gadgets, home furnishings and such. This year I'm more into electronics

Chili, I haven't heard of the silhouette cameo. Is it better than a cricut?

I don't know all technical details/differences between Cricut and Silhouette. But for Silhouette no extra cartridges are needed. You can use any picture from your PC as .jgg or similar. Or you can buy single pictures for 50 cent or more in the online store.
