I found this in a little paperback smoothie recipe book by the checkstand.
I thought this would be good christmassy treat for those hot summer rudolph days.

Gingerbread with lemon sauce shake

3 cups milk
2 cups French vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup molasses
1 Tablespoon grated lemon peel
3/4 teas. ginger
1/2 teas. ground cinnamon
Whipped cream (optional)
Lemon wafers, finely crushed (optional)

Combine milk, ice cream molasses, lemon peel, ginger and cinnamon in blender. Process about 1 minute or until smooth.

Pour into 4 glasses. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed lemon wafer crumbs.
