- chocolate chip cookies, fresh from the oven
- the sound of autumn leaves crunching beneath my feet
- crisp, frosty mornings
- a crackling fire
- the scent of homemade bread
- hot chocolate with whipped cream on top
- wild geese calling to one another as they wing along to the south for winter
- a cardinal's bright red feathers

- Coming home from Christmas Shifts (weird I know but its always dark, I see all the lights and I never travel
without headphones in (anxiety) so I have Christmas tunes in my ears)
- recently I've learnt to enjoy my own company! (the kids are both in school and its just me and the dogs at home
on my days off
- coffee and a book at the beach cafe (especially when the weather is crappy and the sea is grey and windy)
cuddled inside in the big sofas looking out at sea.
- laying in bed listening to the wind and rain or thunderstorms
- making others happy - whether its a well done, a compliment, a hug, a good deed etc - getting a genuine smile
back makes my day
