Oh Jody. Pulling carpet is rough work and back breaking.

Today I mopped the floor and set up the room.

We have an interested buyer for the house and it doesn't make sense to redo the floors and have it not be what they want. We will build in a flooring budget for the buyer. This is not a room we use, our son just moved out at the end of April. this was his room. I have one room to do would like to do it this weekend. We leave for SD on Wednesday and would like to have it done by then.

I have finished culling all the recipe books and writing them in a new book. The last place I need to declutter now is my Pinterest pages and then all the recipes should be sorted.

Katrina, I love this! Our Woman's Club group is always trying to think of gift exchanges! That would be different and fun. TFS!
We did something similar with a bingo game. The bingo prizes were new to others books that were wrapped in brown paper and had a few key descriptive words or short phrases written on each package - something like Outlander by Diana Gabaldon would have History, Romance, and Time Travel.

Beautiful floors, will look gorgeous if you decide to refinish them. We had painted floors in our house in Rhode Island, can you imagine, paint? When our first set of tenants moved out, we had them refinished. It was pricey and we had to have it done since we weren't there but they are just beautiful now. There are days when I wish we could have made that our forever home but it was not to be, and honestly, we really do love it here in Washington.

After walking by the bedroom I finished yesterday I decided to take the cot down and set the room up as an office. DS large desk is still in there and will dress that up and put a small recliner we have in there.

That seems like a great idea. I am sure that it looks great.

DH just left with the old toilet, old central vaccum and a leaking inflatable bed to go dump it at the ecocenter, yeah!

Do you get money back for the cans and bottles that you take back.
They have just introduced a scheme here where we get 10c back on most bottles and cans. Adds up after a while.
