Mary, I loved long Summer days when I had the kids home from school. Did not like the temperatures but did love having the kids at home, no homework, no lunches just a relaxing time.
Mind you our Summer also includes Christmas so lots of other things happening.

My mind is always blown when I think about summer with Christmas and no school at all for the children. It seems rather nice. We frantically get ready for Christmas amongst school Christmas concert practices and semester finals. We hope that the snow doesn't mess up shopping and deliveries and we hope that no one gets sick with a cold and/or flu between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Getting through things this week, loving checking off my to do list.
As part of emergency prep I took photos of the important papers in my safe and added them to an album on my phone. Need to update emergency plan, maybe an item for next week.

I'm getting through things here too. Other things popped up that I wasn't expecting. I feel a bit behind in some areas and ahead in things that aren't even on the list for this week.

I need to do this. Now that the house is in good order after the deep cleaning, I need to take pictures of each room as proof of contents for insurance.

I do this as part of HGP. Once my rooms are tidy and decluttered I take photos and add to an album on my phone, I can assume that in an emergency we will have our phones with us.

I am doing pretty well on my list this week. One of the items is really DH's and i'm trying not to nag him about it. The other three, I just haven't done yet. I will definitely get to them over the weekend.
