Mamabear -- this is a terrific list! With four kids, there is a lot of eating going on in your home! But -- how big is your kitchen/storage area? How do you keep everything straight?

I also have 4 kids, two dogs as well that eat raw meat that we store in fridge and freeze some too.

I have a big freezer, metal shelves we bought at Sams club/BJ's when they were at a good price that we store stuff on, and two HUGE bins that close tight in the basement.
Freezer/fridge upstairs, along with Pantry closet(which isn't that big but big enough I guess), and we have two cabinets(the thin ones, i hate when contractors put thin ones in) that we use for spices/herbs and stuff we use all the time.
I have another separate cabinet(not thin) for baking supplies, sugars, coffee beans.

HUGE bins are stuff that mice can get into like paper towels(they love that for making a nest).
SHelves down stairs are for oils, ziplock bags, pasta(which mice dont go after which is odd but we go through it quick so that might be it), canned goods.
Pantry is used for stuff we use regularly and we just replenish with stuff from downstairs.

I have a list of what is where, we "try" to keep it neat but hey that never happens. My ds13 purges the pantry closet and gets the junk out and cleans it up in there often. DH and him help me with the fridge and freezers. When someone takes the last of something they tell me and I write it down. ( i have a list for groceries on an excel spreadsheet so I go through that when we go to the bulk stores) and YES we always forget something.

Don't feel bad or say wow she keeps hers great and why can't I. There is always something forgotten or misplaced or two are bought because we didn't know we had one already because it wasn't in the right place.

Hope this helps

Thank you!!!

Great idea about listing by isle, ask the store if they have it on paper and use that to help you organize. I know shoprite has a list in the isles for people to take.
