I get Family Fun magazine through a website and for the first time I received an email that they have automatically renewed my subscription so I would not miss any- they said $14.95 will be charged on my card. In the past I got it for $9.95 so I checked their website to see if they upped their prices and on their site it was $9.95 so i called them and they said oh we can fix that and $5 will be credited to your card- hmmm how many people would not inquire and pay the extra. Please be careful of this.

I've had similar things happen with other magazines. They are tricky and you have to be on top of it to make sure you aren't being charged the "regular" rate rather than the "real" rate.
Any subscription should be checked. I subscribe to Ancestry.com that is priced at just under $300 per year (yea, I want it all). Last year I didn't subscribe, they called me and offered the same package for $150.
