magical holiday find!!

I went to my church's yard sale and looked around for a while and didn't see anything I could use. Then I turned around and was eye to eye with a Christmas tree! 7 ft. tall with all of its branches! Naturally, I couldn't leave it there to rot in the hot sun!! So, for $5.00, I have a lovely new-to-me tree for .... well, I don't know what room, since they all have trees of their own, but I'm sure it will be prominently displayed in 150 days!!

No more eyeing that tree at American Sales for me!! arty:

I love finds like that. Our neighborhood will host it's annual garage sale next weekend. I'm on the lookout for some new Christmas goodies myself.

I was in an antiques store yesterday. There was a booth that had 25% off. Then, my eyes rested on a box of Christmas items.....for $4. Since it was 25% off, I got it for $3!! I was a happy girl. There were things from the 60s on up. A couple of things were homemade, and I told my daughter it could give us inspiration to do something with Samuel, my grandson. He loves to do crafts. I was in heaven. I told my daughter that I would share some of it with her. I love a bargain....especially a good Christmas one!!

That sounds wonderful Pam!!! I just found where our local salvation army is located so I am going to try and head there sometime tomorrow while the kids are in school. But then again I plan on doing as much cleaning as necessary. I am off this weekend from one job so if not tomorrow maybe Saturday.
