We're half way through the week. How's everyone doing? The lists are keeping me in line and on track for the most part. I definitely feel less mental chaos this first quarter of the year. Life is still busy but there is more of a daily inner peace. I keep adding "things to do" that pop up in my head which I think is really adding to the inner peace. Having the personal reminders in front of me helps too.

Katrina, what are your plans for making the room warm and cozy?

Mary, I too feel much more calm, a good change from the last few years.
March and April are really busy for me so I am glad that I am able to minimise stress any way I can.

The study is a little open room no doors and has an opening to the hallway and the loungeroom. The internal door to the garage is in here too. The floor is terracotta tiles and there are 2 windows.
Not sure how to approach this room, I have a door snake that I will place near the garage door. I can close the blinds on the windows (they are nice wooden slats).
It is a nice room just needs some personality. The other rooms are easy, a warm throw, some cushions and a scented candle and voila. This room will take a little more I suppose.

Diedra, a nice idea. This room actually has very little wall space, but there is a feature wall that I could use. You have given me something to think about.

Do you have a small rug on the terracotta now? I imagine that the floor might feel colder in the winter. Maybe some winter house plants? I had cuttings of holly, boxwood and evergreens in jars and vases throughout the house for a couple of months. It made me happy. :)

Mary, yes a small rug is on the floor. I have now got a throw on the back of the office chair so we can grab that while on the computer. I am now wondering if I might move the wreath from the front door and use it at the garage door. I have added some candles to the feature wall and it looks better.
