Eating from the freezer and pantry this week, so I can rotate fresh meat and produce in, as it comes to market this spring and summer.
March 19 - 25, 2023
Sunday -- turkey breast, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce (have 1/2 of a turkey breast tenderloin in freezer; cranberry sauce was canned after Thanksgiving)
Monday -- chicken a'la king, salad (will cook drumsticks in the crock pot all day, then pull the meat for a'la king; open bag of peas in the freezer)
Tuesday -- pasta made with leftover chicken and/or turkey, salad
Wednesday -- Souper Supper -- tomato celery soup, grilled cheese (18 months ago, I made and canned 1/2 batch of a condensed tomato soup recipe and still got more than a dozen pint jars. Want to clear them out, so I can make fresh and adjust a few things for a new batch)
Thursday -- salmon, rice, coleslaw (this vacu-packed salmon has been in the freezer too long)
Friday -- pizza, salad
Saturday -- ham, baked sweet potato, waldorf salad (vacu-packed ham slices from Christmas; apples languishing in the crisper drawer)
