We are in the warm part of Spring, the time when you know that summer is coming soon. Our temperatures have been in the high 80's F (low 30's C). It's been 14 days of no rain and mostly sunny days which seems strange. We have had quite a cloudy/rainy spring.

Mary, another busy week for you. How many days left of school?
Your days are quite warm aren't they? Hopefully they settle as you head into Summer.

Yon inspired me to read A Jane Austin Christmas, Regency Christmas Traditions. Not sure how true they are.

I don't think I have ever read Jane Austen. Perhaps it is time that I do.

I've been with my Austen group for almost 10 yrs. now. We spent a year reading through each of Austen's books which is what I liked about the group. These last few years we've been reading additional books on Austen or Austen related themes. We're starting back with Sense & Sensibility, the first of her books to be published.

I think Austen is a brilliant writer and witty. If you do watch film adaptations of any of her books, go for the older ones. They seem true to the story line.

4 days of school are left and graduation is the week after. Today was a field day. Dh helped out with the tug of war and was kind enough to bring in the teacher gifts for me. This weekend we will have considerable cooler temperatures in the mid 50's F (13 C).

Seems we have the exact same temperatures here this week. For some reason I think that it will be a long and cold Winter. I am already counting down to Spring and the Solstice.
