What is going on? we have been spam free for a long time and now they are showing up full force. There are 3 on the welcome page.

Thanks for the heads up. I dispatched Miss "Monica".
The thing to remember about these spammers is that they are bots -- meaning this is all computer generated, nothing is actually posted by a person.
What concerns me is that they are getting through to the point where you see them. You shouldn't be seeing them at all.
I will go to work to figure out a way to keep this from happening. In the mean time, if you can keep your eyes peeled. Usually they try to bury their posts in old threads -- way, way deep -- so we can't find them. Very unusual that they would pop up like that in the very first forum area.
That's probably just a test, meaning that the server is getting ready to get slammed and so we're going to have to take extra precautions.
