For November we need to get stuff out of the house before the Christmas gifts come in! I want to work on ds's closet mostly and write down some hot-spots that will get done after the Holidays.
Today I decluttered a bag of Halloween decorations. DH got 2 ovens to the recycling center. DS decluttered 15 t-shirts, 2 jeans and 4 pair of shorts! woohoo!!
Well done Lucie, getting anything out of the house is a good thing. I am still doing pretty well after moving earlier this year. We do not have too much to be rid of. I will start again in January.
Got in a little fight with the corner kitchen cabinet last night. The corner under the counter that is such a pain to get things in and out of. The other corner has a lazy susan but this one doesn't because it won't fit. What a hassle. Anyway, it was not accepting the bag of potatoes so I plopped down and EMPTIED it! The biggest toss was the wide expensive All-Clad pan that I've used twice in 15 years. Hard. But it needs to go.
Pulled 5 or so cooking pots/items/crockery out of the pantry that I haven't used in 15 years. One of them is an unused Pampered Chef Crockery roaster! (Trying to be strong.) Need to find someone that would love it and use it!
Also went through my HUGE binder of magazine clipped recipes from over the years. I never use them. I use the computer. Pulled the ones I actually use and pitched the rest! Wow -- and I put SO many hours into that binder when I first made it!
Good job on the decluttering all. It is tough sometimes to make that final decision to get the stuff out the door. I certainly think we feel guilty if we have bought something and never used it. It seems like a waste of money to just get get rid of it. But keeping something we don't use is a waste of money and space.
I will be going through my craft cupboard early in the new year, I have 100's of dollars worth of stuff in there, but it is really time for it to either be used or gone.!!!!
Well done ladies, I have gone through my drawers and donated any winter clothes that I did not wear this season. I also got some things that I had bought for DS ex girl friend for Christmas wrapped and put under the charity giving tree at the mall.
I took three bags of odds and ends plus a box of glassware, a food processor and a Halloween rug to the thrift store. Was rather nice because the staff came out to get everything from the car. I didn't even have to come inside.
