The weather has been getting a bit cooler lately. We are usually in the low 50's early in the morning now. I had planned on pulling out the annuals this week but they are looking so healthy and blooming still. I think it is because we had a mild summer. We had no heat waves nor did we have rainstorms every weekend throughout the summer. I may just wait until the first week of November before pulling them out of the garden.

I cut back a lot of the herbs that I grew this summer and hung them up to dry. I have one more batch that is still hanging and ready to be put into a jar. However, I may end up cutting just a few more this week herbs this week or next week. The grape tomatoes are still producing. I probably have another week or two before they are ready to be picked.

The pumpkins that we planted didn't fair so well. Some animal kept eating the flowers. I don't know if it was the rabbits or deer or other lovely creature. We got 3 white mini pumpkins and two small green pumpkins that I hope turn orange before Halloween.

Weekly Routine:
  • Clean Bathrooms.
  • Pay bills.
  • Call:
  • Weed one flower bed or trim bushes.
  • Make a grocery list.
  • Buy groceries.
  • HHP
  • FlyLady: Kitchen
    • Dust top of fan.
    • Clean oven.
    • Clean microwave.
    • Clean out the refrigerator.
    • Wipe down cabinets and appliances.
    • Wash floor.
    • Clean Windows.
    • Wipe down the trash can.
    • Wipe down wall and door jambs.

To do this week:
  • Continue to harvest herbs from the garden.
  • Continue to take dried herbs and put them into containers.
  • Spray weed killer.
  • Spray algae killer.
  • Gather HHP lists from previous weeks and begin to shop for those items.
    • Craft items
    • Stocking Stuffer items
  • Prepare for October Sales.
    • Read through available gift lists and start pricing them online.
    • Add to wish list if possible. If not, note the website and price as well as a link to buy during October sales.
Projects to work on as time permits:
  • Put together Christmas cookie dry mix kits and add recipe to each kit.
  • Begin moving Google Docs into Google Drive Folders.

We are on fall break this week so no school! YAY! I will be working on lesson plans for my edTPA. Not so yay. But it has to be done and this is the best time to do it. DH will be home most of the week as well. We are also getting our AC replaced for energy upgrades (the rest were done before we moved in) so we will be using portable ACs for two days during the install. Busy week ahead but I hope to do a lot of relaxing and rejuvenating preparing for what's ahead the rest of the semester. I think there will be a lot of ups and downs as we navigate whether or not the students are coming back to school and in what capacity. We are all worried for our own health, as well as the students and our own children. It's a very trying time for everyone.

[X] Mentor call (Tue)
[X] AC install (Tue/Wed)
[X] Cohort seminar (Wed)
[X] Check ride (Thu)
[X] Eli peds dentist (Fri)

[X] Pick up birthday card for brother
[X] Send thank you card to student/mom
[/] Pick up birthday present for friends son and husband and get in mail

[X] Work on edTPA lesson plans
[X] Cohort reading
[X] Look through Wonders (i'll be teaching that after break)
[ ] Lesson plan for mid-term evaluation after break

[X] Think about differentiation and small group ideas for after break

We are on holidays this week so the normal list does not apply. We have been at the farm for 4 days are home here for a few days and then will go back to the farm. I have a bit of a to do list for up there.

Re caulk loungeroom windows
Finish painting loungeroom windows
Sand and undercoat front door
Painting loungeroom walls
Clean bathroom
Vacuum floors
Sort building supplies into storage containers.

Will need to get back on track here with the HGP but I am slightly ahead at this stage so doing OK.
