October declutter club

Thought I would start this since I do have my mother in the mood to throw things away, donate and sell things so we are getting rid of alot more.

Today so far has been a halloween costume, about 12 boxes that will be burned soon

I am sure there will more today also

DS went thru all his clothes last night. He is 29 (will be on the 31st). He tried stuff on-put ones in the pile that he just doesn't like, and also went thru all his soxs.

We got more rags for the shop now-and dusting soxs!

Now if all 3 of us would get on the band wagon and keep up the moving it out!

Today is a new day. Last night my mom had a family friend over looking at her garage up front it is in need of being straightened, plus some other work she needs done. He did tell her that she needs to have everything out of the garage before he can do anything. So hopeing to get her to let go of more stuff in there, today.

Quite a bit left yesterday. My mom decided to open up her yardsale so she sold lots of stuff She will be doing it one more time tomorrow then I am going to try and get her to donate most of the rest of it.

I am still decluttering my spare room. Almost done !

DS finally got rid of a big pile of papers on his desk! Now to get more out of the closet and on his desk

Things are leaving so far today. Yard sale again and have my mom going thru other things too. The one thing that already left this morning and was sad to see going down the road was their all original, mint 55 Chevy 2 door hard top to its third owner. My parents bought from original owner 18 years ago and had been sitting in the garage year round for the past 6 My brother decided to take it out last Saturday wash her and give tune up My dad had a buyer for it in a day and they picked up this morning

Amazing how we develop attachments to stuff, when my sister sold my dad's car it made me sad too. I didn't want it - but it was the passing of something, odd.

I have so much to do still. I have been working on the garden beds today, and gathered a load of pots that I have not used in several season because I do not need or like them. Put them at the end of the drive with 'free' sign, should be gone with anything else there by tonight.

Got the 3 big bags with the stuff I had to give away out the door! Nice to have some space in that closet.

I have been working on decluttering the art/computer/school/sewing room. It has a lot of names. But mostly ... it's a complete mess! It's the one room in the house we "throw" stuff into and shut the door!

Well, with DH, we have managed to clean, dust, rearrange, toss out, give away .... STUFF! Yea!

Started putting away some summer clothes and getting some winter ones out. Got a bag (12 sweaters) to give away

17 books decluttered... these were hard to get rid of... classics used in school but which on one ever goes back to read. thinking if they are classics they can easily be read off the internet.

While doing my de-clutter of the art/computer/sewing/school/craft room ... I came across the box of my 21 year old DD's little artwork and such. Too cute. We have had fun looking through it ....

Guess this fits here I've cleaned out cupboards put all my winter things in them like heavy cups my winter dishes,put all my winter-Christmas things in them and redid my pantry all baking things in order for Christmas house is ready for winter even have the shovel by the door.Enjoy the day.:snowman:

Been washing dishes & top kitchen cupboards. Got some stuff to give away... would've given more away but dd was here and wants to keep the stuff
