I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in an ongoing challenge to do the things you've pinned? It could be a craft, a recipe, anything really. Just post in here with discussion of what you are planning, trying, liking, hating, etc. So, if you tried it and it was a fail, we can discuss that, too. Who's in with me? Got anything planned this week?

I am trying a new "recipe" tomorrow for dinner. Pizza Grilled Cheese. It is just grilled cheese (mozzarella) with pepperoni and served with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. I pinned it a long while back and have beem meaning to try it for a while now.

Yum, that recipe sounds like it could be a winner. I try to comment on any recipe I have pinned. I went and decluttered one of my groups of pinnings. Great challenge!

Fun! I've always wanted to have some friends that could get together each week and make something from Pinterest. I have made a few recipes from Pinterest that I've talked about on here. I'll start posting about them in this thread.

I have pinned and made several recipes and projects including some candles, a burlap runner and a pair of pillow covers. You can see them at my blog. I have also tried several recipes, some of those are on my blog too.

This week I am making a teacher stool with inspiration from Pinterest.

great idea. I have a board that I have moved a few things to that I have made and were a hit.
This morning I cooked sweet rolls on the waffle iron and churro waffles. Should we post here as the week goes? add a link to the pin we did? Or link to a made it, liked it board? What do you think would work best?

Pinterest is amazing idea source. But, I think one of the shortcomings is the comments and that it is lacking in reviews. Things have been pinned and repinned so many times you have to wonder who said what or which pinner wrote it and tried it apart from those who just like the idea and want to try it.

I love links to your own blog, the pin, the original blog or site that it came from...whatever you want to share here is fine. But, what I would really like for this thread is for us to include and discuss our experience when we tried it because here we know each other. We know that it isn't some random person 18 pins earlier who said her grandma tried that recipe or project once and liked it. KWIM?!

sounds great! I understand about the comments when you see a pin and then see the same comment on 20 others of the same pin!

Today I made cinnamon rolls in the waffle iron. I used can, name brand, cinnamon rolls. My waffle iron is new and I guess it's thickness is b/n regular and belgin. They are not over thick (in the kind you turn over when it cooks) or really thin.
Any way. Put 4 in, close and cook about 3 minutes. They came out fluffy w/ a little crunch. I heated the cup of iceing in the microwave a little so I could pour it over the top. Yum!

The waffles sound good...almost enough that it might even be worth digging my waffle iron out of the garage/dungeon to try them. I've been wanting to try the brownie mix on it, too.

So, the Pizza Grilled Cheese was good. It didn't wow me and it would definitely take second place next to a slice of pizza. But, everyone liked it and it was easy and fast; so could work on a night when we have extracurricular type stuff. The kids suggested that it wouldbe better if the sauce was in the sandwich instead of for dipping.

I went ahead and made one more sandwich that way to test it out. (It's kind of hard to cut a sandwich in 5 equal pieces. lol) It was definitely better with the sauce inside; though it gets soaked into the bread a little. I also think if you are doing more than one at a time; it would probably get the bread soggy. In fact, I was a little worried even doing just one that it might not get that perfect golden crispy crustedness that makes grilled cheese awesome. But, it did turn out okay.

I would love to have a Pinterest Party, too. The problem is that most of my real life friends and family are not into that sort of thing. They are glad to test my pins at holidays and gatherings. For the 4th I tried that berry cobbler with the sprite, cake mix and frozen berries. It was eaten and everyone liked it but a couple of people (myself included) said they missed the traditional pie crust. A nice dessert but doesn't feel right to call it a cobbler.

So I tried a recipe found on Pinterest today and it turned out pretty good. You take a tortilla shell and put chocolate chips and a cinnamon/sugar mixture on one half, fold the other half over and brown the outsides in a skillet. When done dust some powdered sugar on top. The kids and I all liked it and I had to make a second one. :)

Would be a good idea to post the links when something is done so we can try it after the good reviews people give.

And here is the pin for the Italian Beef (you shred it for sandwiches) that I made in the crock pot recently - it was DELISH! And very easy! I had plenty of meat left and froze it. Sucessfully thawed and used for more sandwiches the other day. This ones a keeper!

I've also tried this pin for Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes to great success with DH! I have made both with the cheese sauce the original recipe calls for and I have made it easy on myself and just used deli slices of cheese we had on hand. Both work great!

And finally, THESE little babies are SO good! Great way to use leftover ham but good enough to warrant buying ham just for this recipe!
