DH helped me lastnight with the spreed sheets. He broke it down into a different category/page. We did: Baking, Pantry, Canned Goods, Personal Products, Cleaning and Paper Goods. Created 3 columns 1 for the amount we have on hand, the amount I want to have on hand and the difference. We got the food done lastnight and will work on the personal items, cleaning and paper goods tonight.
I always rotate when I buy new items so we do not have food go past their best used by date. If I come across items that need to be used up but don't think I will be able to used all of them before their date I will donate them to the local food pantry. My goal is buy at least 2 extra items a week when I go shopping to bulk up our stock when I can but between shortages and price hikes that may be a challenge as we only have a Walmart and Major Grocery store in our area.
Now that the local farm stands are open and decently stocked we have been going there to get our fresh produce. Prices are cheaper then the grocery store and much fresher.
