:rudolph: This Rudolph day I am going to go through my gift closet and inventory what I have so far (I have been very slack at keeping a running inventory) gather all of my wrapping supplies into one place and test a recipe that I will be making this Christmas (not sure which one to try yet).

This rudy day I want to plan a new tree for the kids toy room. I also want to get an idea of how we are going to celebrate advent. I have the calendars, but I am not sure if we should do an advent chain or something else.

Java elf- a rag garland is strips of fabric tied to, twine or strands of Christmas lights. Then you hang them up wherever you like. I've never made one but they are very nice. You can dress up doorways or wrap them around your Christmas tree. Maybe someone here has a picture of one that they can show you. You can make one for any just about any holiday (Easter, Valentines Day, Patriotic, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, etc.),

This Rudolph Day I plan on going over my Christmas card list to see how many cards I need to make. I think I have about half done, but I may decide not to give everyone on my list a handmade card. Since the 25th is during the week, I plan on doing some shopping for stocking stuffers and 24 days of Christmas goodies this weekend. I also want to start on buying things for my mom's Christmas box.

An idea I had and thought maybe someone else may want to do. I made of list of activities to do for the Twenty Four Days of Christmas. Now I'm going to put them on a calendar and post it on the fridge as well as keep a copy in my planner.

For Example:

Dec. 1 - Lighting ceremony (plug in Christmas lights)
Dec. 2 - Elf Celebration (Tea Party)
Dec. 3 - Mail greeting cards...

I'm usually at work on Rudolph Day and this month is no exception.
What I do plan on doing is cleaning out my notebook and if there is time, go through the decorations. They are in the spare room, and I want that to be a "guest room" so things need to be tidied up in there. I just don't know if I have the space to strore things like they need to be.
I have the 22nd off...so that will basically be my Rudy Day this month, I think. :rudolph:

I made that one year for Christmas gifts for my friends with children. Found really cute clear plastic bottles about 6 inches tall, filled it with the food and tied a pretty ribbon around it with a poem I wrote. The kids loved it and couldn't wait to put it outside Christmas Eve for the reindeer. LOL
