Let's start planning our menu for the first BER month!

Sept. 3 - 10, 2023
Monday (Labor Day in the USA): cheeseburger on the grill, oven roasted fries (in a foil pan on the grill), and I'll blend up a margarita (or two) in memory of a great musician and songwriter, and to some of the best concerts I attended, when he was still playing some smaller venues, rather than Wrigley Field. As a boater, that music was playing every single weekend. Some of our dock buddies sent DH off with a couple of Landsharks in his casket. I'm sure DH and his dock buddies who've since passed are all having a cold one and a cheeseburger in paradise.
Tuesday: sausage-stuffed banana peppers, salad, rolls
Wednesday: BLT, macaroni salad
Thursday: leftovers (having lunch downtown with former co-workers, so dinner will be something light)
Friday: pizza or tomato pie, salad
Saturday: BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw
Sunday: chilli, cornbread, sweet potato fries, coleslaw (Bears vs. Packers game)

3-leftovers since Dh was playing golf
4-Chopped Cheese Sandwich or Smoked ribs with coleslaw
5-Dh’s golf night so will get take out
6-what ever we did not fix from the 4th with homemade coleslaw
7-leftover ribs with pea salad

9-pizza night

Tuesday: meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad
Wednesday: Ladies Night Out fundraiser
Thursday: lake perch, baked potato, coleslaw
Friday: pizza or tomato tart, salad
Saturday: lasagna, salad, garlic toast
Sunday: stuffed banana peppers, salad

Wednesday- (church) potato soup, cornbread
Thursday - (ballgame) homemade pizza

Saturday - boiled shrimp, au gratin potatoes, corn on the cob or shrimp etouffee

• Wednesday ~ Mississippi pot roast (from freezer)
• Thursday ~ The Puyallup Fair (leftover pizza)
• Friday (dental surgery) ~ ? Maybe chicken and pasta (from freezer)
• Saturday ~ Meatloaf in red peppers (from freezer)
• Sunday ~ (DH cooks)

Monday: crock pot apple cranberry chicken breast, stuffing, salad, vegetable
Tuesday: Italian sausage in crock pot with peppers and onions, garlic bread, salad
Wednesday: roasted red pepper soup, salad (going to try a Weds. Souper Supper again this year)
Thursday: spaghetti with leftover sausage & peppers, salad garlic toast
Friday: dinner with DD and DSIL for his birthday
Saturday: meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad
Sunday: sloppy joes (from leftover meatloaf), oven-roasted potato wedges, coleslaw

• Thursday ~ Linden (Pasta Fagioli in slow cooker?)

• Saturday (anniversary) ~ Go out for lunch
• Sunday ~ Leftover Pasta Fagioli

19th Tuesday-Take out since Dh will play golf in the morning
20th Wednesday-Eggs, Sausage and Hash Browns
21st Thursday-Leftovers from the freezer/refrig-Mayo Clinic appointment for me that day
22nd Friday-Shrimp Rice Bowl with Miso
23rd Saturday-Chopped Italian Subs
24th Sunday-Pork Schnitzel with cauliflower and a salad

Need to stick baked potatoes in somewhere and maybe Potato Latkes-forgot I have 8 potatoes waiting.

Wednesday: roasted red pepper soup, salad (going to try a Weds. Souper Supper again this year) Hamburger on the grill, left-over baked beans, coleslaw, sliced tomatoes and other fresh veggies and dip

Editing to change up tonite's dinner. Souper Supper will begin next week. Have fasting bloodwork tomorrow; thought it was early morning, but turns out it's not until 10:40. So, want to have something heartier to hold me over a little bit better. Going with a burger on the grill, slaw, and left-over baked beans.

Monday: crock pot apple cranberry chicken breast, brown rice, salad, vegetable (had this on the menu last week and just did plain roasted chicken; have a taste for this)
Tuesday: fruited chicken over rice (use up leftover chicken and rice from Monday), salad, roasted carrots
Wednesday: Souper Supper -- corn chowder, mini Monte Cristo sandwiches, salad
Thursday: salmon, dilled potatoes, coleslaw
Friday: lake perch, baked potato wedges, coleslaw
Saturday: BBQ ribs, sweet potato, baked apple, salad
Sunday: turkey pineapple chilli, cornbread, veggies & dip
