Week 3 Revised: Living Room and Dining Room
pick up misplaced items
get rid of cobwebs
clean baseboards
clean windows
clean ashes out of fireplace
clean fireplace glass
clean fireplace mantle
clean hearth
straighten log/kindling baskets
dust lamps
dust/polish coffee table & end tables
spot clean carpet
vacuum furniture
vacuum carpet
will add Dining Room list later

I am coming in a bit late. This is my list week:

*Wow! This is much easier in a one-bedroom apartment than in my old 3-bedroom house!* :applause:

Lucky you syncroswimr! We have a small two bedroom but it has four bedroms worth of 'stuff'! That's one of the reasons I call it the 'squeeze more Inn'!

Week 3.

It rained like mad yesterday and today. I do not need to water! That is good. This is the week to work outside.

( ) Trim back forsythia bushes.
( ) Plant pumpkin seeds
( ) Plant squash seeds
( ) Plant pretty rose impatients
(X) Clean off outdoor furniture. After all the rain, this should be easy.
( ) Sweep porches
( ) Plant another yellow rose bush
(X) Buy cracked corn for the doves

How is everybody doing with week three?

I've done nada. Nothing. Zilch. Nothing on my plans for the yard so far. I have been doing a lot of cooking of Memorial Day/Summer-type seasonal foods. Sigh. :help:

I took two week off ... actually, I think I sort of 'forgot' about the cleaning schedule. ::eek:rnament:

I'm just plodding along on the original list and things are feeling ok and things are getting done reqardless of sprained ankles and forgetting about cleaning and such. Doesn't seem like an overwhelming task when we take little chunks and straighten a little here and there!

Yea!! For this accountability!


And next year, I won't have to make a list from scratch, as I'll have this one all done! Woo Hoo!!!

[X] Organize, closet, give away unused items (contains craft stuff and stuff-stuff)
[X] Dust and organize the pile of paper crap by the computer
[X] Dust everything else
[X] Air blow out inside of computer ... hubby helps
[X] Go through filing cabinet, organize the homeschool files
[X] Go over bullitin boards and take off old news

[X] Organize under sink
[X] sweep floor, clean baseboards, Mr. Clean the floor
[X] Go through son's tubby toys

[X] Organize nightstand drawer, sweater stand, chest of drawers

Week Three: January 27th Hall Closets
[X] Take everything out of coat closet and sort through
[X] Vacuum floor and dust shelf
[X] Put back only what needs to be in there!
[X] Take everything out of hot water/heater/AC closet
[X] Vacuum floor
[X] Put back things only if they can do there and NOT be a fire hazzard!

Week Two: January 20th Living Room

[X] Clean ceiling fan
[X] Clean windows (inside only)
[X] Vacuum under sectional couch
[X] Organize entertainment center
[X] Vacuum sofa and loveseat
[X] Vacuum carpet

Week One: January 13th Front Porch
[X] Clean the light fixture.
[X] Sweep the porch.
[X] Sweep down the walls and get rid of cobwebs.
[X] Wash the windows
[X] Trim hedges
[X] Front Door: Needs cleaning and then ... oil or something??? Looks dry.
[X] Celebrate your hard work by getting a new rug or wreath for your porch. Or make one if you are so inclined.

All routine maintenance did get done Week 3. However - life happened and I just got a wee bit done on our May Week 3 list. I will just bump it to Week 4 - with NO GUILT! Off to lie down and watch TV! :pink:

Yes! No Guilt! That's why when I "forgot" about the cleaning schedule thingy for about two weeks, I actually laughed at myself .... 'cause I do have 52 weeks to get it done ... and I have accomplished some ... so it's OK!

Hope you are enjoying that TV and laying down! I should get off the computer!

I was going to spend my Monday off just cleaning and working around the house but it was so beautiful out that I just went out and sat in the sun. I have done quite a bit around here since my son moved out, but now I'm at a standstill for a bit. I am putting the stuff that I have in boxes into the garage to get them out of the way. I have a lot to get rid of. My husband wants to hav ea tag sale in July so I'll eliminate a lot of stuff then. Next week I'll do mor ein the hosue.
