I don't know, seems like I just feel like having a tea party..

QUICK ORANGE SCONES

3 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. orange marmalade
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
1 tbsp. orange juice
1 egg, beaten

Mix Bisquick, marmalade, raisins, spices, 2 eggs and juice until moist. Turn dough onto floured board; sprinkle with flour.
Roll into 9 inch circle. Cut into 12 wedges using floured knife. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Alternate wedges - wide and narrow ends on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees 12-14 minutes.


Lemon / blueberry quick scones
Ingredients
All purpose flour (2 1/4c), baking powder (2tsp), sugar (1/4c), firm butter (1/3c), softened cream cheese (1pkg) fresh blueberries (3/4c), egg (1), milk (1/3c.), salt (1/4tsp), grated lemon peel (1tbsp), lemon juice and sugar.

Method of preparation
First heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Take a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, lemon peel and salt in it. Add butter in it and then mix it with blender or crisscrossing knives until the mixture gets crumbly. Take a small bowl, mix egg and cream cheese and then add blueberries and milk in it. Pour this mixture into the flour mixture of large bowl. Make the dough of this mixture and roll it in ball shape. Take a divided ungreased scone pan. Place about 1/3 cup of dough in each wedge of this pan. Use lemon juice for brushing the scones and then sprinkle sugar over the scones. Bake it in oven for 15-20 minutes or until it gets golden brown. Take off the scones from pan and then place on cooling rack it cool. Serve warm.

These are good and chocolate flavored scones.
Chocoloate flavored quick scones
Ingredients
All purpose flour (2 1/4c.), beaten egg (1large), whole wheat flour (1/4c.), baking powder (1tsp.), and heavy cream about (1/2or 1/4tsp.)For brushing, ground cinnamon (1tsp.), sugar (2tbsp.), milk (1/4c.), butter cools and cut into small pieces (1/2c) miniature chocolate chips 91/2c.).

Method of preparation
First heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Take a large bowl, mix the wheat flour, White flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Mix it properly and then add butter in it. Take a small bowl, mix beaten egg and milk in it and then add chocolate chips in it. Now pour the mixture of small bowl into the mixture of large bowl. Mix it with hands into a ball. Make the dough of this mixture and then divide it in two equal portions. Place each portion of dough on greased cookie sheet and make a thick disk. Cut it into 6 equal pieces. Use heavy cream for brushing and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. When the scones get ready then serve it warm.



Mini Lemon Tea Breads
Ingredients:

2 large lemons

2 1/4 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) margarine or butter

3 large eggs

1/2 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease ten 4"x2 1/4" loaf pans. From lemons, grate the peel and squeeze 1/4 cup lemon juice. In large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. With pastry blender or two knives butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in 1 tablespoon lemon peel. In bowl beat eggs, milk and lemon juice; stir into flour mixture just until flour is moistened. Spoon evenly into pans; top with remaining lemon peel. Place loaf pans on a baking pan for easier handling. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on racks.

Notes: You can use one 9"x 5" loaf pan and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Cucumber Sandwiches

Peel and slice cucumbers, put in colander, sprinkle with vinegar, and let drain.

Using a round biscuit cutter, cut rounds from thin sandwich or party bread.

Butter the rounds, top with a slice of cucumber, sprinkle with dill, and top with a thin slice of carrot or a thin wedge of cherry tomato.
