I need to get to the library, I have nothing new to read.
This Year Will Be Different and other stories by Maeve Binchy, a book recommended by Pamela G.
My family is from Johnstown, my parents still live in the city, and my grandfather worked in the steel mills when he immigrated from Italy. My dad and fil worked in the mills until they shut down in the early 90s. My grandparents missed the 1889 flood, but lived through the floods of 1936 and 1977. I was also around for the 77 flood....remember it well.
I’m reading about the flood right now. Thanks for the suggestion.
The Guardians by John Grisham
I had several books become available at once, hate when that happens. So I will be reading:
The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves
The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay
The Whisper Man by Alex North
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
should a new thread be started for 2020? we are at page 58 for this one.
Good idea Lucie.
I think that's a good idea Lucie. I'd actually like to see a new thread started at the beginning of each year.
Lucie, did you want to start the new thread for 2020 or did you want me to?
Katrina have not started it, will let you do it thanks
Have done so. If we think it is needed we can ask one of the admins to lock this original thread.
