Well, again it looks like alot of you have gotten some stuff started.

So glad Jessica has joined us and she has made progress this week.

Jampss, is working away, as well as Tricia learning something new :).

Michelle, is doing cool stuff with her circuit. Can't wait to see all the decorations she makes.

Debbie, is working on several blankets. How are they coming?

KimD, is also working on b'day decorations.

I am still looking around at blogs.

I have found an ideal for a swap, along with others that I have saved and just looking at. Pins from eye glass lenses. Had forgottern about that one. Have some much book marked trying to clean it out some.

Will finish my sisters pillow today. Since I know she goes to my blog now can't post gifts there that are for her.

Everybody have a GREAT crafting week!

My goal for this week will be to get some sewing done on my apron and continue work on the knitted scarf I started for DD. The yarn i'm using is kind of hard to work with so i'm hoping to get at least a quarter of it done this week. It's slow going.

I also want to look for an ornament for the Christmas in July swap. I've found several I like just need to decide on one.

Just thought of something else, my mom's birthday is on the 31st and I want to do the stepping stone for her. I have the kit, just need to do it.

[ ] Sewing on apron for me
[ ] A quarter of scarf knitted for DD
[ ] Decide on ornament for swap
[ ] Stepping stone for mom

My mom's birthday is next month so I'd like to either crochet(need to practice on the stitch a bit more) or knit her a wash clothe. Which I'll add some nice smelling soap & maybe lotion.

Also need to knit some booties for the babies on the reservation...

Fluttering happily in the clouds!!
My goal for this week is, once today's interview is out of the way, to get the sewing machine out and put together the crayon rolls and taggie blankets that are already cut and pinned.

After that, I will be bringing my knitting down for tv time, and trying to make some progress on the lap blanket.

Baby steps this week!!

Hi ladies, I think it's time I joined you!

My craft group are working on a mini art quilt project, we have each picked a theme and we are all making a piece for each member of the group. This week I want to complete pieces on the themes of "spring", "1940s" and "free theme using interesting textures".

I also want to complete the back of the sweater I'm knitting.

I copied and brought my list over~~~hoping to get a few things marked off this week!

Adding 2 or 3 things

For 2011 I would really like to make alot of the gifts again. I just love to make and give homemade items to people, whether it is food related (mixes, or already made), holiday items or something they can use year round.

I have a mental list started so will list some.

1.) Thread catcher for mom, Miranda, Jaymee and myself (maybe my friend in Iowa)

2.) Snowman pillow Miranda ~~~~~~~~ DONE 1-16 SEWED CLOSURE SEWN 1-17

3.) Bubble Light for my friends in Iowa and mail it to them before Thanksgiving

4.) Coasters--sets of 6 decide who

6.) Have the pattern for the table runner so will decide who I would like to do one for

7.) Need to think of the item I would like to do for the 12 Days of Christmas so if they have it again

8.) Need to get some vanilla beans to start more vanilla for next year

9.) See if Jaymee likes that material for a tree skirt or not for her tree

10.) See if Ryan and Jaymee want me to do them a stocking for their house or get their own ( I think his aunt got them stocking kits to decorate them one~maybe)

11.) Quilted Scarf make one for myself and decide on if any for gifts

12.) Scrunchies for my 2 nieces and a step great niece

13.) Think of the ornament that I will make for co-workers

14.) Think of the ornament I will do for the CIJ Swap here

More ideals will come~~but these are ones I am thinking now.

These are the slip covers for the weight thingy we use in the drawer for the drive up that I need to make yet.

1.) winter theme one~~~~~~~~~~~~ DONE 1-2-11 Snowflake material

2.) Valentine's Day~~~~~~~~~~~~~DONE 1-17-11 Hearts

3.) St. Patty's Day

4.) Easter

5.) Spring

6.) 4th of July

It is just a slip cover that fits over this duct taped weight thing that we put in our drive up drawer at the bank. At times the wind can catch the checks, papers whatever. When I got moved to this branch the one they had was dirty and old so I got the bright ideal to do one for each season. Or holiday. Me and my bright ideals!!!

That posting was for awhile back~when I was making the winter one. Even tho I did bring it home and need to do the Valentine one now.

Yes, mine are planned as christmas presents.

Interview is now over, so I will be back to regular work and decluttering and crafting again. And I am happy with how I did, even if I wasn't good enough to get the job. Won't find out for a few days yet.

I found some cross stitch fabric and a bag of coloured threads. I am going to do a cross stitch Santa for my mum for Christmas. I also thought I might embroider some butterflys and flowers onto pillow cases and knit a lace edge. These could be for her birthday in May.

Katrina, I am sure your mom will like them. Sounds like nice gifts to me.

I did mark off 2 crafts on my list this past week-end. Now to just keep it up. Then I added the last 2 or 3 numbers.

WingedOne, I have everything crossed for you.
