We're still at the lake till Thursday. I'm nearing completion on a CCS birthstone gnome and when finished, I have a CCS watercolor flower to work on. I might try to get a start on a new knitting project.

My crafting spirit is on. I have been embellishing ornament for family. (the one I sewed on in the car). I have several more to go but am having a difficult time figuring out to do one of them. I would love to get them done and in the mail for a July 25 CIJ surprise. We'll see what I come up with today.

I have finished the 105 ornaments today. I have been working on them all this week. I almost went to the store to purchase embellishments but instead said I had enough stuff I should be able to come up with something. I did. Not all is what I would have liked but I made it work. Next is to clean up the crafting room and take a good hard look and try my best to move items out the door. Now to find a way to package them.

I do want to make a pillow for DH from the remainder of his quilt that his grandmother and grandfather made for him. May do that tomorrow.

Those are adorable ornaments!
Ordered the fall rug kit I wanted that she didn’t have at the class. I’ll download all the directions/ patterns on a stick and have staples print instead of using up all our ink here. I’ll still have to tape pieces together since she doesn’t have them on A3 (think that’s what they are called) files.

Miss JoDee WTG on the ornaments.

A little knitting this week and that’s it. No mojo this week for crafting but I do blame it on a stomach bug that hit me at the beginning of the week. Starting to feel like myself today which is good as tomorrow Hallmark stores have theit open house thing for Christmas ornaments. After both the store here in town and adjoining town closed I was happy to see another one open up in the adjoining city a few weeks ago. Got to go get my butterfly ornament.
Hopefully I can get my crafting mojo back in the next couple days.

After making many ornaments from a quilt that DH's DGM and DGF made I took the left over quilt and made a nice size pillow. DH was happy to have a piece of the memory. I don't always remember that DH's parents move while he was in college and that he does not have a lot of his personal items from childhood. This is a nice keepsake for him.

Today is crochet class. I've got 2 projects in work and neither are exciting me. While I like the sweater I'm working on, I'm struggling to feel any momentum, as each row is a different stitch. The other is headbands / ear warmers for charity. We won't have class next week or the 1st Sat. in August, due to the "Chicago Yarn Crawl" (https://www.chicagoyarncrawl.com/). It runs July 22-30 and the area yarn shops join forces to promote knitting, crochet, and other yarn crafts. There are 18 participating stores this year, and customers are encouraged to visit each shop, get their passport stamped for entry into the grand prize, participate in store-specific special presentations, register for give-aways at each shop, and of course make purchases of their special offers. It kicks off on the 7/20 and runs thru the month. My DSis#3 is coming in and joining DD and I for the crawl on the 28th and 29th. We DO have class that day, and I'm going to ask if she can sit in and then we can continue our crawl.

Lori - I went looking for a local yarn crawl with little luck. Maybe NYC - Manhattan - in the fall but no confirmation yet.

This site has a lot of information on yarn crawls. https://www.crochetgetaway.com/yarn-crawl/. It looks like the Long Island one was changed to a one-day event, in conjunction with a wool and fiber fair. Might be a good site to bookmark for the future.
