I'm new to the forums and threads world - what's the best way to do this? If I post a comment with my list, do I post a new comment when I cross something off the list or is there a way to go back to my original comment and update it?

Here is my master list so far...

- wrap up Christmas gifts (yep, I am done already)
- make stocking stuffs and ornaments as time allows... at least get started on them
- look for fabric for a tree skirt
- Look for fabric for a long table runner and place mats
- make and address Christmas cards

I have started the holiday grand plan cleaning program a month early. I am working on tasks in between crafting and finishing up our homeschool for the year.

I have to get a good jump on things as I am scheduling a hospitalization right before Christmas. GRR!!!

It's really up to you. If you want to do your main post w/ a list like:
[ ] deside on craft for gifts

[ ] try 5 new recipes

[ ] watch a Christmas movie

then you can go to your main post and check off what you have done by choosing to "edit" it (at the bottom of that post)

[x] decide on gifts to craft-knitting scarfs

and then you can post to the current page what it is you did w/ more details.

I've not figured out my list yet. I was going to do it last night but I fell asleep just after 8 and slept right through.

I'll come back and post when I get my list together.

Cmerth; way to go on getting all your gifts bought already!

Great list, Tania. I hopped over to your blog - I was reading your December 11 post, "Do you make cookies and candies or do you buy them?" and then your posts at the beginning of December. They are all questions you're answering - did you have a list of questions for each day in December? That would be a fun way to blog in December.

Thanks, those are great. I think I might have done the first one but it was all in one post. I'll have to go back and read through the second one and write down all the this or that questions. Got to run to Michael's for a few supplies I am missing.

Ok here is my list. Like a lot of you it's a work in progress.

Craft:
{ } start making dishrags for gifts
{ } work on aprons
{ } research foods to bake for gifts
{ } start/decide on Christmas cards for family

Update:
{ } Christmas notebook
{ } iPod with new Christmas music
{ } clean bedroom closet (contains Christmas gift shelves)

Random:
{ } make and mail CiJ card to SIL w/ her gift
{ } get back on diet and exercise.*
{ } watch some Christmas movies and QVC

*I know this last one is a little odd but I have been off it for a month and need to get back on now so come the holidays I am better prepared for the large amount of rich foods I will be eating :)

Ok, here is my list. It is a work in progress :)

{ } Update card list and addresses

{X} Print the weekly checklists for the HGP/HWP (I do a combination of both). DONE the first week - the days which contain August. I'll print the Sept weeks at the beginning of August, Oct weeks at beginning Sept etc. I do this as I feel like I'm using less ink and paper. I'm not - but it feels like I am LOL!!

{X} Declutter my Christmas notebook. DONE!

{X} Layby kid's gifts. Only a few though... need to think of some more things...

{X} Make gift tags using last years christmas cards. DONE. Unfortunately I don't have enough - will still need to buy some.

{ } Try out new dinner recipes (I'll itemise this before checking it off - likely to be done on seperate days)

{ } Contact party hire place and get prices for hiring a couple of tables and some chairs. My table only seats four!!

{ } Finish painting the kitchen/living areas (this job has been getting put off for sooooo long!!)

{X} Follow up insurance claim for replacement floor coverings. DONE! APPROVED! I will have new floor coverings by Christmas!! :D

{ } Check out LED candles. They look great online, but I want to have a look in person. Just not a good idea to have real candles with little kids, and in summer

{ } Check out some baubles and plants etc for table decoration

{ } Write stocking stuffer list and buy a few items

{ } Organize movies/music. Note new music/movies to buy. Make CD's with favourite songs

{ } Inventory gift wrapping supplies

{ } Jot down guest list for Christmas dinners/events & find out about any allergies or dietery requirements

{ } Look in to Christmas shows/activities and pencil in calendar

{X} Decide on small gifts for dinner guests. DONE. Snowglobes and Charity Cards from Oxfam :)

Ok - That looks a bit ambitious... but I'll take them one at a time and see how I go. They're only small things really, but will really help me once they're out of the way.
