I just put up a post with some photos about making little bath salt packets to include as a stocking stuffer, small gift, or as part of a Spa Basket...maybe before the end of the month...I'll get some Christmasy ones made up...Like the Elves' Peppermint Delight....that's one I'd like to try my hand at...since I love elves!!!
No, it's not knitted. I can't knit, though Lord knows I've tried. It's made of 100% wool fabric. I appliqued the snowman and the tree by machine. The beading is done by hand. The handle is some wire my husband had laying aroung the shop and hand-sewn on with pearl cotton thread. 100% wool has been the hot thing in quilt shops and some cross-stitch stores for about 5 years now. As long as you're not allergic to it, it is wonderful to work with. Since folk art and primitive are my thing, it fits right in with my decor.
Ginger here's a craft idea I just prepared for my 2 nieces (could be good for your winter wonderland)...
I bought cotton bags at $1 each and some fabric paint ($1 for a pack of 3 crayons)... and they will decorate it as they will... plus I have some things they can glue on too.

JF-cute, cute, cute! And, you solved an issue for me on the Christmas countdown one I'm STILL working on! I was concerned that the numbers wouldn't look right if they didn't match the letters, but yours is darling! So, now I know how to finish mine!! Thanks, buddy!!
