Wrapping Parties- 2012

I got all the things I had already bought for my wider family wrapped and given to my DSis to transport yesterday.

And I will have another go tonight, to get the last of the things for DH's family wrapped, so that MIL can bring them with her (PIL coming tomorrow until Fri am, but I am away most of that). I have 2 to wrap, and 1 to purchase today and then wrap.

I like doing my wrapping closer to Christmas so I've not really properly started. I've got some free time tonight so I might wrap the pets presents (11 presents total! lots of pets).

But I will be taking part this weekend to get some more wrapped

I am totally out of it. I have not purchased one gift. I plan to get myself together and get out there this weekend and get my gifts purchased. I have never been this out of wack for Christmas.

I want to get the last of it done this weekend!! I got the stuff sent with PIL last week too, so it is only a few things left to do (probably will take me about 2 hours max).

My plans went awry over the weekend, but as DD was home sick yesterday and I had to do the childcare, but she wasn't terribly ill, I managed to get another bag done. I still have a few to do, but I will have a quiet night on Saturday as DH is helping his Sis to move house, and I am home alone once DD is in bed.

The wrapping parties help us not to be pulling a marathon wrapping session on Christmas Eve!!!

Oh my gosh, how many years did I do that??!! Blah!

I'll be wrapping this weekend! I'll pour some bubbly, crank up the Christmas music and get to wrapping!

Wrapping is done. I purchased photo boxes ( they about the size of a shoe box) placed the gift inside and wrapped a ribbon around it. The boxes come in so many different prints it made it fun to choose a box for each one. The boxes sit bookshelves very nicely and I the packaging could serve 2 purposes. I am glad to be done. Sent hubby and children to a movie and I sent the time wrapping.

Now it on to baking. . .

I am wrapping this afternoon. I'm NOT much ahead of the game.... since some of the gifts are for a birthday/holiday party tonight!!!! But... it is fun to see the pretty papers and ribbons!!!
