DH is in our room sorting through his wardrobe. It really is a Christmas miracle. Hoping to get some things out of the house today.
Why is that? I think that they think most of the household stuff belongs to us and what they lay claim to is all they have and they have a need to hold on to what little they have. Excuse me, most things in the house we share.Any small bit of a mans declutter counts as twice as much. It is so hard for some of them to part with items, useful or the useless
I have save cards too. I went through twenty years of them a few years back. I saved the ones from all of my deceased friends and family. I was nice to see their notes and their handwriting. No laughing.....but I have saved Christmas cards!!!!! ......for years!!!!! I have begun the process of going through them, saving some, cutting some in half and using the front picture for my December Daily........personal goal,......to at least put them in a smaller box........
I know, right?! They are sooooooo pretty! I used to have a pattern to make a crocheted basket with the cards. Crochet around the cut out card that was hole punched ....No laughing.....but I have saved Christmas cards!!!!! ......for years!!!!! Oh my goodness, I forgot about those crocheted dolls! My grandmother did those too. I was always baffled as a kid why a Barbie doll was on the back of the toilet at my grandparents' house. They didn't have toys anywhere else. It wasn't until I was much older that I found out the dress hid the toilet paper roll.Lana, that sounds wonderful. Did you have a crocheted doll that sat on a spare toilet roll? My Nanna made those and crocheted bed socks.
Mary, I thought it was pretty cool because I loved Barbie but could not for the life of me figure out why she was on the loo. I am pretty sure that that toilet paper was NEVER used because we had to get a spare roll from under the sink if we needed one.It wasn't until I was much older that I found out the dress hid the toilet paper roll.
