Dorene, I am sure that if you watch this site and ask for any ideals that your holiday '08 will be GREAT! It isn't about the giving anyway. I have LOTS of material also and I know last year my daughter made the rice bags with the bag cover and gave about 6 of them for gifts and several have been used and really liked them. This year she is planning on doing the larger lap quilts to use more of it up. Also look for the clear glass plates (platter size) and put the material on the back on them. (try the dollar tree or Dealz, etc) I put felt over the material then. I have also use pictures from calenders to put on the back of the plates. Ornaments can be made from the pieces. Ever see the quilted star balls. Just would need the 3" balls, marterial and ribbon.
