I saw that the thread for this year had been responded to and that got me thinking that if we start now on thinking about our word or phrase for 2010 then we won't have to struggle so much in January. We will already have our word mapped out and how we plan to relate it to our lives figured out.

I'm definitely going to need the extra time to think about this!

This is a great idea. It also reminds us to consider how successful we were this year. :)

I think I will choose the word J.O.Y. for my word in 2010. It stands for Jesus, Others, and You.

I'm still working on mine. Yet again, my word needs to encompass so many things that it's hard to find just one. So it may be a phrase again for me in 2010. I've made a list of words that might work in some capacity, just need to try to put them together or pick one.

There can only be one word for me in 2010: Health!

I have to be a warrior for my health and make sure that I am:

* Eating correctly

* Drinking plenty of water

* Exercising

* Dealing with stress properly

* Keeping myself strong mentally

* Getting proper rest and sleep

I think I know my word for 2010 but I'm going to give it a little more thought. Annie - I like how you have defined your word - it makes it clear what your want to achieve. Love your attitude!

Serendipity...thats it....I like the sound...I like the idea while searching for one thing I will find something else that is even a better fit...I like the fact that it makes me accept and appreciate whatever outcome I end up with...LOL

My word for 2010 is measured. I need to keep control of the fractions of my life. I want to be thoughtful about the use of the fractions of my time and finances.

I tend to become involved in many projects, all of which are good causes and/or necessary, but I have decided I want- not need- simply want more unscheduled times. So I'll still be very busy, but consider anything new carefully.

After much thought and deliberation, I've chosen Dreams as my word for 2010.

It will be a year of making dreams come true...our new home is one of those dreams. I also have hopes to return to graduate school and finally complete that Master's Degree.

Blessings,
Lisa

My word will be patience.

I need to have patience with a lot of things and people this coming year. It is something that I am horrible at.

I was thinking about this the other day and reviewing my words for last year and the word "reconnect" come immediately to mind. So I decided that must need to be my work. I want to reconnect w/ Christ, w/ a church, my husband, my kids, my self, friends and family on a deeper less surface level. I found a cute silver ring at Kohls that I might pick up if I find a pinky size that has 2 connected hearts on it to be a reminder to me of my word for the year.

My word for 2010 is Health.

I've had a year of poor health and I'm hoping to make this better this year.

I was going to say that my word was going to be ME, but thought some might think that was a bit....selfish. I do want it to be all about me, but all about me becoming healthy.

I have been terribly absent from this sight this year, just doing a bit of lurking as I have had time, want to make a better effort to participate, so I am giving alot of thought to my word choice for this year.

My word for 2010 is BALANCE!! This word came to me immediately. I am going to have to work hard next year to balance a full-time job, husband, 2 kids, 3 dogs, myself, my health, my home, family and friends, interests and activities.

Maybe my word should be - AAAAAHHHHH!!!!
