Heard this on a podcast this morning as I was driving and I had to ask Siri to make a note of it as it really struck me and what I want to identify with on my health journey.

" Every day I work to create and sustain my physical health."

Ug. I believe I did WAAAAY better in January at exercizing than I am in February. Oh well, I will keep moving forward. :)

On another note, I just learned, after all these years, about Bookmarks on here. I can bookmark a post, add a title and tags and find it easy! Who knew! Not me, apparently! LOL :p

Yesterday, on our farm walk, we started to go just a bit more. So, I'm going say we did 1 1/4 mile! :) I also found at Aldi's padded socks and wore a pair of shoes that were more hiking tread and so my feet didn't hurt afterwords.

It so hard to get back into a routine once something interferes …. I had a bit of a cold and then two weeks later I went down for me time with my dad and step ma. Just got back Tuesday night. I don’t feel like doing my exercise videos …. And it’s been raining yesterday and today so no walking outside. Oh well …. I will find some motivation I suppose. Or not. LOL

I was feeling the same way after returning from Cincinnati. Monday my brain was everywhere and I had to be out of the house before 9:00 am. Tuesday, I said enough and just did it. No excuses. I am back at it. Once my body remembered how good it felt after the exercise there was no turning back. I have another trip planned for April and I hope to do the exercises while there. May have to go to the basement but I will find a way.

Jody ~ That's the spirit! I sometimes need to just take the first step, giving myself permission to stop at a given period. I hardly ever do stop.
Motivational mottos that seem to work well for me: Nike's "Just Do It";"A body in motion stays in motion."; "The first step is the hardest step."

I like the saying 'to rest is to rust' but haven't done a thing with grandkids here all week... ah well... I did 15 minutes this morning.
I think moving and shaking with the grandkids would burn some calories!! :)

This one hit home for me yesterday after spending a week doubting myself again. Patience is the key!!

Greetings!

Although I've been posting weekly reviews, I just thought I'd post something mid-week for my personal incentive. I've been taking a serious approach to my diet this week, which means only 1-1/2 days so far. I'm trying to get myself back on track to resist those foods that I know will (and have) sabotage my weight. I have an afternoon snack attack which can involve cheese, nuts and sweets (primarily chocolate). So far, so good in resisting those this week. If I put out carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, etc. to munch on. It really helps. They have to be on the counter and easy to grab.
